Casino Cruise Overview

Casino Cruise is a product of Genesis Global Limited Casinos, a widely known casino brand. The platform has amassed a huge fan base since it first appeared on the United Kingdom gaming market back in 2014.

Much like Genesis’ other projects, Casino Cruise boasts a majestic gaming package, one that features well over 1,300 titles from a range of superstar software providers. The casino also shines bright in the promotions department, offering a huge welcome bonus and many other freebies for existing customers.

From a regulation standpoint, Casino Cruise Meets the highest standards with licences from the UKGC and MGA — two of the most highly regarded regulatory institutions in iGaming.

It’s crystal clear that Casino Cruise means business. But how does it fare compared to other options in the crowded UK casino scene? You’ll have to read our full Casino Cruise review below to find out!

Licence and Security

Casino Cruise is owned by Genesis Global Limited, a Malta-based company with a proven track record of being safe and secure, as well as delivering timely payments to players.

The site is heavily regulated, with licences from Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission. The licences were issued in 2015 and 2016, respectively.

Casino Cruise takes the appropriate protective measures to safeguard its players’ sensitive data. These include SSL encryption and advanced anti-malware software. Additionally, the casino has been appointed a Data Protection Officer, as per the UKGC regulations. The Officer is responsible for making sure that the casino applies strict laws regarding the protection of players’ personal data.

Expert’s comment
Is Casino Cruise legal in the UK and is it legit? These were my two primary concerns going into this review. As it turns out, the answer to both is “yes”.

The dual licences from the UKGC and MGA instil confidence in the casino’s intention to run a legitimate business. Keep in mind that these stringent authorities can revoke their licences anytime they find the casino is not maintaining the required standard. And since they haven’t done so in over five years, it goes to show that Casino Cruise is the real deal as far as security and regulation are concerned.

Casino Cruise has done its due diligence when it comes to data protection, as well.
The site employs advanced security mechanisms, including ECDHE_RSA with P-256 (a strong key exchange), TLS 1.2 (high-end protocol), and AES_128_GCM (sophisticated encryption tool). Quite frankly, I’m not a tech guy, but several experts have assured me that these are the most efficient security measures on the web.

The operator provides the necessary help and advice to anyone dealing with problem gambling. There is a section dedicated to promoting responsible gambling where players can learn about the potential risk factors and the tools that could help them keep track of their spending. Ultimately, Casino Cruise gives users the option of setting deposit and time limits or enrol in self-exclusion programmes.

Deposit and Payout

Casino Cruise accepts players from various regions of the globe, including the United Kingdom. Signing up is easy, and it takes a few minutes to get started.

British users are required to verify their identity before being allowed to deposit and play in Casino Cruise, according to the stringent protocols imposed by the UKGC. As proof of ID, you have to provide a driving licence or an ID card. Also, you’ll be asked to submit a bank statement or a utility bill showing your address.

Once Casino Cruise verifies your account, you can start making payments. After you log in, go to the cashier, and you’ll discover the following banking options:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • Interac
  • E-wallets (Skrill, Neteller, PayPal, iDebit, InstaDebit, Jeton, ecoPayz)
  • Online banking (Trustly, Sofort)
  • Boku
  • Euteller
  • Several other payment providers

You can find the complete list at the bottom of the page. Note that some of the supported payment options are geo-specific. You can find out which methods are available in your country in the cashier section.

Expert’s comment
The registration process at Casino Cruise is pretty basic. It took me about 20 minutes to sign up, verify my account, and make the deposit. I’m not a big fan of KYC procedures mandatory for all UKGC-licensed casino sites, but it beats playing on a poorly-regulated platform.

Casino Cruise has a fully loaded cashier department, at least when it comes to deposits. All the popular payment gateways are there, in addition to a couple of niche options like Boku and Euteller. Unfortunately, you can use only a few of these methods for withdrawals. This kind of discrepancy is common in many online casinos, although not to the same extent.

For most methods, the deposit and withdrawal minimums are capped at £10, which is great news for casual players. High rollers might not find the upper limits satisfying, though; they are £5,000 for deposits and £2,300 for cashouts.

The 2% fixed fee for withdrawals is a significant downside. Casino Cruise somewhat compensates for it with an ultra-fast payout turnaround time; you should receive your funds within five days of filing the request.

My advice — go with e-wallets if you can, as they are the fastest way of getting your winnings.

Device Optimisation

Casino Cruise delivers a superior on-the-go gaming experience via its browser-based platform. It’s optimised for all sorts of mobile devices, including those running on Android and iOS operating systems. You can get in on the action without having to download any app — once you open the mobile version of the site, you can swing into action straight away. All you need is a relatively new mobile phone or tablet, and you can enjoy your favourite slots and table games remotely, whenever you want.

Expert’s comment
Playing on the mobile version of Casino Cruise was a delight. The layout is a bit differently arranged compared to the desktop site as it was adapted for mobile play. Nonetheless, users can easily find their way around, with most of the content being accessible via the hamburger-type dropdown menu in the upper left corner of the interface.

As you can see, the search bar is transparently displayed in the middle of the screen, which allowed me to pinpoint a couple of my favourite slots within seconds. Speaking of, the game library features 500+ games, so you won’t miss a beat even if you don’t have access to your PC.

I was particularly impressed by how well the live dealer games worked on my mobile phone. All the tables loaded instantly, and the streams were top-notch with no freezes or delays.

Gaming Experience

Casino Cruise ticks all the right boxes from the gaming aspect. The assortment boasts 1,300+ titles from over ten different software manufacturers. All the major categories are covered in-depth, particularly slots, which occupy the majority of the portfolio. That’s not to say that the casino comes up short when it comes to table games — far from it. With dozens of blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and poker variations, players can get in on the Vegas-style action without having to leave the comfort of their homes.

We’d be remiss not to mention the casino’s live dealer lobby, which is incredible in its own right.

Expert’s comment
Allegedly, Casino Cruise has 1,300+ titles, if we’re to believe the banner on the homepage. I didn’t count all of them, but I noticed that most fan-favourite releases are available. That said, Casino Cruise slightly lags behind its sister sites in terms of game variety. There are titles from twelve different software providers, which is no joke, but it pales in comparison with some of Genesys’ other casinos.

The design looks a bit outdated, but what I found even more bothersome is the fact that there are no filters of any kind. The “Search by Name” option is handy but somewhat useless for rookies that don’t have a personal preference. They would have to tap the “More Games” button dozens of times, and it would take them an eternity to browse the entire catalogue. I believe that Casino Cruise could have done a better job organising the content.

On a brighter note, the slots selection is fantastic. There are more titles than you can count, including some of the biggest hits from NetEnt, Microgaming, Quickspin, Play’n GO, Red Tiger, and a few other upper-echelon software manufacturers. One-armed bandits, 3-reelers, modern 5-reel slots — you name it.

While exploring the lobby, I came across Pragmatic Play’s Wolf Gold slot, which has long been one of my favourites. Naturally, I decided to take it for a few spins. I spent only a couple of bucks, but that was enough to qualify for the weekly tournament, and the daily prize drops contests.

I decided to take it up a notch and try out Reel King, one of Red Tiger’s most popular progressive slots. I didn’t win any jackpots (no surprises there), but I did manage to score a couple of nice wins.

Next up, the table games audit. I kicked off my campaign with a few rounds of classic blackjack. Surprisingly, there was an option to join the table in demo mode and play the game for free.

The table limits for this particular variation were quite flexible, hovering between £1 and £500 per round. Performance-wise, everything went smoothly.

I concluded my checkup with a short trip to the live dealer lobby. There, I found 102 tables in total, including a range of casino classics like blackjack, baccarat, roulette, poker. Betting options are more suitable for high rollers, with most tables having a £1 minimum. The lounge is brought by Evolution Gaming, the king of live dealer casino software.

If you want to try some exotic gaming options, I suggest you check out the “Game Shows” department. It’s populated with a range of unique yet exciting lottery-type games with excellent payout potential.

Bonuses

With Casino Cruise, you can kick off your gambling adventure like a boss with a splendid sign-up worth up to £1,000 + 200 free spins on NetEnt’s iconic Starburst slot. And when your welcome bonus supplies run dry, you can take advantage of Casino Cruise’s other gifts. The ongoing promo foyer is loaded with daily, weekly, and monthly cash prizes, free spin deals, and other treats.

Expert’s comment
Casino Cruise’s welcome bonus is in the middle of the pack, compared to other casino sites in the UK. There isn’t a no deposit bonus, but in all fairness, these offers are extremely difficult to come by nowadays. So, the fact that I wasn’t able to get free cash after registration, hasn’t changed my opinion of Casino Cruise whatsoever.

The offer is divided into four instalments, giving users a total matched deposit boost of up to £1,000.

For the first deposit alone, you can claim £200 of bonus cash and get 200 free spins on Starburst. I was pleased to see that the minimum deposit is only £10. On the other hand, wagering requirements are 40x for each of the four match deposit bonuses. This is a bit too high, in my opinion. As far as other bonus terms are concerned, there’s nothing to worry about.

When I burned out my welcome bonus stash, I started scouting for other promos to see how Casino Cruise incentivises its existing players. And I was glad that I did because I would have missed out on many lucrative deals otherwise. With cashbacks, free spins, reload bonuses, and a host of other promotions, Casino Cruise allows you to stretch your bankroll for quite a while.

Too bad I couldn’t stay long enough to earn an invitation to Casino Cruise’s VIP club. From what I’ve seen, it’s quite remarkable. There are three levels to the programme — Deluxe Suite, Royal Suite, and President Suite. As you start spending the big bucks and improve your status, the perks will become bigger and better.

Once you reach the final stage of the loyalty program, you’ll receive an exclusive invitation for the casino’s President Suite, which carries a number of benefits, including a welcome gift, speedy cashout processing time, customised cashback offers, and tailored bonuses.

Customer Support

Should any issues arise while playing in Casino Cruise, make sure to contact the site’s customer service, and they’ll point you in the right direction in an instant. Several contact channels are available, with live chat being the fastest way of getting your answers. Alternatively, you can send an email at [email protected] or give the support staff a call at 080058888409 — a toll-free telephone line for UK-based clients.

Expert’s comment
Online casinos offering phone support have become relics of the past, with many players preferring to get their dilemmas solved via the live chat service. That said, it’s great to see that Casino Cruise has covered all the bases as I’m sure many old-school players find phone support a more convenient contact option than email.

I rang them to see how they handle customer disputes. All I can say is kudos to the Casino Cruise support staff — they found a solution to my problem much quicker than I expected.

Conclusion

All in all, Casino Cruise is a world-class gambling site. It’s biggest assets include a top-tier gaming programme, great promotional offerings, and super-efficient customer support. The 2% withdrawal fee is undoubtedly a significant flaw, but all things considered, I’d say that the pros far outweigh the cons.
